MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. In 2017, he dropped ADN which was his debut long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca, it was the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007, saw him join Ozuna. Mala Influencia was released in 2020 by Noriel and his Dopamina album the following year. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming hit single Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo is a product of a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. In interviews, Turizo declared that music is an essential part of his life. As a child, he was taught how to play guitar, the piano and the ukulele. Although he initially wanted to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singer would alter the direction of his career.
